Cape Cod Times Letter  Brent Harold seems to have worked himself into a silly hysteria, ginning up a constitutional crisis where none exists. (“The Constitutional crisis has already happened,” Another View, Jan. 17). If false information misled any voters, it was not the John Podesta or Democratic National Committee emails which, after all, were genuine.

Certainly sanctions have properly been imposed on Russia for those email hacks. But the source of the leaks was widely known before the election, and no one thought to do anything about it when all believed Secretary Clinton would win. American voters were not deceived.

Many things happened – foreign and domestic – during the recent presidential campaign that affected it and the outcome, as happens every four years. The only danger to our constitutional election process is from those who undermine it because they don’t like the outcome.
